About

Hello, I’m Clifford V. Juan, an infrastructure, cloud, systems, and cybersecurity professional based in the Philippines.

My career in information technology began before the Y2K era, after earning my Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Santo Tomas. Since then, I have worked across technical support, systems and network administration, broadcast technology, cloud infrastructure, and business-critical production environments.

Much of my experience aligns naturally with cybersecurity: understanding complex systems, investigating abnormal behavior, analyzing logs and technical evidence, restoring affected services, reducing operational risk, and documenting lessons learned.

Infrastructure, Cloud, and Security

I have extensive hands-on experience with Windows Server, Linux and Unix, networking, virtualization, enterprise storage, web technologies, and database platforms.

My cloud experience spans Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure, including compute, identity and access management, networking, storage, monitoring, backup, disaster recovery, system hardening, and infrastructure security.

I also work with Terraform, Python, PowerShell, Bash, and cloud-init, using laboratory and portfolio projects to develop repeatable deployments, configuration validation, automation, and operational resilience.

My cybersecurity development builds on decades of infrastructure and production-support experience. I have handled technical incidents, escalations, root-cause investigations, service recovery, and coordination with engineering and operations teams.

My recent work and studies include cloud incident response, compromised-resource investigation, identity and access reviews, system hardening, log and threat-data analysis, security monitoring, vulnerability remediation, digital evidence validation, and incident documentation.

I am also developing an AWS Incident Response and Security Operations Playbook, documenting practical procedures for identifying, containing, eradicating, and recovering from cloud security incidents.

Certifications and Continuous Development

I am a seven-time Microsoft-certified professional, with credentials covering Azure administration, Windows Server hybrid administration, cloud technologies, security, compliance, identity, data, and the Power Platform.

I have also earned the AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate credential and completed training in cloud architecture, IT automation with Python, analytics, and cybersecurity.

I reinforce continuous learning through hands-on laboratories, cloud deployments, troubleshooting exercises, technical documentation, and publicly documented projects.

Professional Approach

I approach technology and cybersecurity from a broad operational perspective. Effective solutions must balance security, reliability, availability, recoverability, observability, and maintainability.

My work is guided by evidence-based investigation, controlled implementation, clear communication, thorough documentation, and continuous improvement. I aim not only to resolve immediate issues, but also to strengthen the systems, processes, and teams responsible for preventing their recurrence.

Continuing My Journey

I am currently expanding my capabilities in cloud security, incident response, security operations, infrastructure automation, platform engineering, and Applied Generative AI.

My growing focus includes AI platform engineering, secure AI application architecture, model-service integration, API security, observability, data protection, and the reliable operation of AI-enabled systems.

My goal is to combine deep infrastructure and technical-support experience with modern cybersecurity and AI practices to help organizations build systems that are secure, resilient, observable, and prepared for emerging technologies and threats.

This website documents that continuing journey through technical projects, certifications, troubleshooting experiences, and lessons learned.
